Wondering what grades would I give my old blog platform: Blogger/blogspot?
Let's just say there is no Deans List in their immediate future.
To get you ready to read about multiple blogs hosted by blogger/blogspot doing total disappearing acts let's recap my own blog entry from December 5th
1. I used to have another blog at this link http://ephemeria.blogspot.com/
2. Suddenly over a month ago it was replaced (by someone at Blogger, not by me) with another blog which contained one entry showing landscape photos
3. After the photos guys got my cease and desist about my history using the name Ephemeria they abandoned - http://ephemeria.blogspot.com/
4. Meanwhile - my blogspot blog has somehow mysteriously “moved” and now appears at a new blogspot address. Hmmmmm.
5. That change was NOT made by me.
6. Obviously I wrote to them but I got zero response for three weeks.
7. Today I got an email from them about how to reset my password. Um - what? They skipped dealing with the problem I brought to them in the first place.
Guess what?
This kind of stuff is happening repeatedly as the English Guy explains in his blog and Emily Robbins talks about as well.
Weird - definitely weird.
My advice? Blogspotters beware. It can happen to you and there's not one thing you can do about it.
Now's the time to bite the bullet and make the switch to a reliable service.
Imagine if you can one that offers actual tech support.
Wow.
