Our presenting team were from Global Kids which enables young people across the globe to make positive changes in their worlds locally and beyond.
Since coming into Teen Second Life in January 2006, Global Kids has established a series of Islands that host interactive activities
Global Kids has educated thousands of teens about such topics as racism, the genocide in Darfur, public diplomacy, and the digital divide.
And Global Kids has also developed strong collaborative projects with Youth Venture, an international organization that supports young people to create positive change in their community.
SallyYV Lungu said "Outside of SL, Youth Venture works in 14 countries to inspire and support youth to create thie own clubs, organizations, and bussiness that have a postive community impact"
The DIDI program supports youth through the process of brainstorming an idea, building a team, developing an Action Plan (like a business plan), all the way through successfully launching and sustaining their initiative.. They have supported over 2,000 teams of youth around the world to launch their own community enhancing ventures.
