My friend Liz Strauss over at successful-blog has a traditional open comment session on Tuesday evenings thats like a cocktail party in the comment section. It's true. You all just jump in anywhere and babble.
OK, it's a little bit like like speed dating meets family reunion meets whisper down the lane.
Anyhow it's addictive and you can skip it for months and when you drop back in and feel like you've never been away.
Liz always has a theme and tonights is Beer, Whiskey, Wine and a liquor store in Oklahoma.
Top that for themes if you can
The way it works is that if there's an art theme commenters bring an art link or if it's travel we might link to vacation photos. Whatever, Liz is willing to take whatever you walk in with on open comment night.
Tonight Becky McCray who writes a great blog at Small Biz Survival and owns a liquor store is guest-hosting a discussion about liquid spirits.
And I have no drink recipes or great bar links - but ooooh I could like to Irish drinking songs but I just thought of that as I was writing.
So tonight I'm multi-tasking,attending a grand opening for non-profits in Second Life and tap dancing other things to do. What could be better, I thought naively, than to bring a photo of me in Second Life with a drink in my hand!
As the Guinness guys say: "Brilliant!"
Ok, just one thing. . . You see the results.
Stop giggling.
The poses built into the chairs were not cooperating. In the first photo it looks like I'm micro-examining my bosom. And in the second it looks like I am pouring the red wind down my dainty ladylike back.
OK, so things in Second Life don't always go as planned.
Its a lot like first life.
But the party dress is nice, huh?
And I'm going to drop by the party and drop off the photos anyhow.

Becky we love ya anyhow - and I just found out that this comment system is not as smooth as Liz's even with captcha off.
