So here's the thing. I'm doing a little of this and a little of that; learning about more and more (and more) new media; getting invited to conferences; going to virtual meetings; twittering; interacting with virtual people about virtual marketing; watching live tv on the net & getting insights into new media via blog.tv. It never ends - there are still more new things and new ideas out there.
And no matter how many hours in my day I just can't do it all.
People, products, podcasts, technologies, Heads Up Displays to help me find what I want while shoppping; Facebook & other tools to stay connected. There are live music events streaming into Second Life where I can interact with people I know while dancing to Joan Osborne - while back in the Real World updates from my daughters arriving as "tweets" on my phone.
Well if I thought I needed minions, elves and a magic wand before, now I know I need them. And that's just to stay up to date with what I missed. Cloning myself can't come too soon.
But no matter how "behinder" I feel, I know there are millions of others also feeling like the whole world has changed before their eyes.
Prokofy Neva writes about the decline in Second Life participants in Second Thoughts and has all kinds of reasoning behind his theories - and many points well taken. But I'm wondering if he's ever considered that we're just all too overwhelmed to get to everything we want to do.
Blogging? I've got to get around to that every once in awhile too.
