Speaking Art : a Symbolic Language

Cyd Kmeto is a psychologist, coach and provider of insights who works from Sacramento, California and by phone from around the country. In Move Inside she's positive about the arts and their effect on everyday lives - not just for artists and the la de dah-dees of the world.

". .  enjoy the arts. . . whether you are the person creating it or the person appreciating it, doesn’t matter.

" . . . Why art? Because it speaks to us through symbolic language. A language that facilitates a knowing inside us, gives us an understanding that goes beyond sequential linear thought. It reaches into our heart and soul."

Symbolic language; I like that phrase. I speak in a symbolic language.
