Rapleaf, Odeo, Blogebrity : the Week
You're sick of hearing that I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired, I'm tired of it too.
It's impossible to pull off saying that I got nothing done this week however.
I'm happy to report that I:
- Tried out the customer service at rapleaf. Very impressed so far. You should check it out if you're interested in having the ability to create a portable reputation - like having an ebay rating that you can take with you.
- Learned a couple of things about podcasting and added a little
snippet
of something that you can hopefully see at the upper left of
this page. Odeo gave me some problems but with the addition of Audacity - well, I'm crossing my fingers about this. Look for an image that looks like this and click for a message ->
- Finally had one of the kids say to me "that is pure genius, mom." Yup - I've got it in writing no less. I think I'll print it out and bronze it or something. I think it's got to be that she's now over 30. Otherwise there's no explaining it.
- All in one day - yesterday when I had a killer headache and I was avoiding the computer I caught up watching every tivoed episodes of DaVinci's Inquest. Don't ask. I'm not much of a TV person except for the History Channel and my strange Boston Legal fixation so I have no idea what I'm doing with the Vancouver Coroner's Office thing.
- Worked the phrase "you can tell your husband you know a blogebrity" into a conversation . . . :^) Hey - it's harder than it sounds.
- Joined the anti-pc league. I was feeling a little bit like the little girl in the anti-disney princesses theme-park commercial: only in my case it was more like "If I have to hear stuff like happy holidays one more time I'll hurl." I figure - you know, if I'm going to be an ill tempered old bat and gripe about Google ignoring Memorial Day I may as well make it official.
