Back to the Bookcase: Magazine "Issues" Result in Lake Erie Artistamp

To skip the story and get right to the artistamp visit the Lulu/Ephemeria website. Or you can go directly to the new sheet.

Actually, considering I threw my back out last night I had a pretty productive "day after."

The great moving around furniture in the bedroom began last night with going through multiple magazine slipcases. Before the bookcases get moved, the magazine shuffle seemed a logical place to start.

So the issue here is that I keep - bordering on hoard but not quite - not just art magazines but that inexplicably addictive one that I can't manage to throw away: Real Simple.

OK, so I can't say "the issue" because obviously I have multiple issues.

Reaching, bending and going through the magazines wasn't the best thing for spondylolisthesis.  And I kept at it for too long, which became obvious after multiple repetitions of the bend, reach, and feel the pain routine.

The upside is that I threw out about four magazines.

Or would that be the downside?

After these "what possessed me to do that?" moments I hobble around for a bit before admitting defeat, dragging my sorry self into the shower and then collapse on the nearest horizontal surface.

Last night, with the bed already relocated to a wall closer to the bathroom, I was in luck.

Today there are piles of stuff sitting all over the room but I've got a comfy place to recuperate.

And thanks to the laptop I remained more or less horizontal and 15005ladykatesislandstampwebcropped_1

  • worked on image files
  • finalized a couple of new pieces to print out and transfer to canvas,
  • produced an Islands of Lake Erie artistamp and
  • created a bonus bookmark that will print out right on the sheets with the stamps.

I've already got the last two set up to download through the Lulu/Ephemeria website. Or you can go directly to that sheet. Most of all, have fun.

In the meantime, let's see what I can accomplish tomorrow while letting the old spine settle back into the right places.
